American Photo magazine announced that David Hume Kennerly is on their "The 100 Most Important People in Photography" list in the May/June issue, on sale now. This important feature takes the pulse of where photography is heading and who is taking it there.
Kennerly joins fellow photographers Annie Leibovitz, David Burnett, Dirck Halstead, Harry Benson, Patrick Demarchelier, and David LaChapelle, among others, along with top photo editors, artists, dealers, and publishers who also grace the list.
The coveted "Number One" title this year went to two people who have changed photography profoundly, Mark Getty and Jonathan Klein, who head Getty Images, the world's leading imagery company and the most dynamic agent of change in the photographic industry today. The fine folks at Getty Images represent Kennerly.
