Friends & Recall Madness:
New in Newsweek

Recently, David Hume Kennerly shot exclusive photos from the set of the NBC hit TV series "Friends" during one of their last shows on the Warner Bros lot in Burbank, California.

David also covered the California recall election campaign, photographing all the key candidates and some of the more eccentric ones as well.

Images from "Friends" were recently showcased on Newsweek magazine for the cover feature, "Losing 'Friends'". And images from the California recall election campaign is currently featured on Newsweek magazine this week.

They are also the current features on the Kennerly.com Editorial Gallery.

CandidateCamera.com

The Candidate Camera Project is a chronicle of the 2003 California Gubernatorial Recall and the candidates’ campaigns, using digital photographs and the Internet to give voters an inside look. All photos are either of the candidates themselves or taken by them with the Gateway T-50 5 megapixel digital camera they received for this project.

CandidateCamera.com was created by Gateway and David Hume Kennerly. The editor was David who selected a new image each day of the project, from August 29th through the election day on October 7th.

Visitors to CandidateCamera.com have predicted Arnold Schwarzenegger for California’s Next Governor.

What's New at Home of the Free

This school year's "The Home of the Free" program kicked-off in Chicago, Denver and the New York-New Jersey area. David Hume Kennerly, the National Program Chair for this program, spoke to over 1,000 middle school students about photography and history.

These students now have three weeks to take their best shots of local public servants before their images get judged in the national competition this month in October.

Regional exhibit openings and receptions will take place at the New York, Chicago, and Denver Historical Societies in November and December (Chicago: November 12; Denver: November 13; NY/NJ: December 3). The student trip to the national exhibition in Washington, D.C. will take place in June, 2004.
